I was generously given the opportunity to receive some products of my choice from The Body Shop yesterday as a b'day pressie. They arrived yesterday and this is what I chose.
My skin type typically leans towards combination most of the time so I was keen to try something that would tackle both the oiliness and dryness that occcurs in my skin from time to time.
I didn't know what to go for so the girls at The Body Shop chose Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser , Seaweed Clarifying Toner and Seaweed Pore Perfector for me to try. I'm really pleased with the Pore Perfector cos my pores should really be served with an injunction to stop them coming out!!
My favourite Body Shop product ever is Coconut body butter and it's the only product I have continuously bought for the past 5 years or so - though I cheat and get it cheaper off Ebay. I love the scent as I'm a sucker for all things coconutty and it keeps my skin soft and well moisturised. I thought it was time to try another butter for a change and chose the Vitamin E one after reading the reviews and cos I'm not a fan of heavy fragranced scents all over my body in form of a moisturiser. One reviewer wrote how she adds vitamin e oil to it before applying it to her skin and I think that's a great idea and will be doing the same to get the most out of it and to use up the supply of pure vitamin e oil I have!
The Yes, Yes, Yes lip butter is something I regretted not buying a couple of months ago as I've forgotten to buy it on numerous occasions since, despite having a TBS branch less than a 4 min walk from my house which I walk past constantly. I've got a brain like a sieve at times! I was told by somebody that it has quite a thick texture but I plan to use it on my lips before I go to bed if I find it too heavy for daytime use. I thought it smelt absolutely gorgeous when I stuck my nose in the tester instore so I'm glad I can finally get to try it out for myself.
I came across the Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask and it sounds like a product my skin would appreciate. Sometimes my skin really needs a good moisture boost and I hope this does the trick on my 'dry' days. The reviews bode well too. I've almost finished my Neutrogena cleanser which I've been using for almost 8 mths so will introduce this and the Seaweed range when it's done and see how my skin gets on with it all. If my skin doesn't get on with the new cleanser then I have a backup of the Neutrogena on standby, so I have nothing to lose.

@ Beauty and the blog - Just saw your blog post. I love the look of that hair shine. I want my hair to smell of coconut!!
Wow! They look sooo good!

i use to love The Body Shop, but i don;'t have a store around me anymore..i need to buy some stuff online...the things you got sound very nice...
I'm using the seaweed range just now - absolutely love the daily exfoliator - I'm on my second already which, with my troublesome skin, is a miracle. I've got the Pore Perfector sitting unopened aswell - let me know how you get on with it.
x
The lip butter is the only lip product i've found which tastes as good as it smells (Yes, i might lick it off my lips defeating the purpose of it ahem)
What a lucky girl you are! The seawood cleanser is great. Its so gentle I use this on my daughters face.

I used to love Body Shop products but I haven't used them in years... I'll have to get some and fall in love with them all over again!
I've nominated you for an award!
Body shop is fab. love their almond body butter in fact i like quite a few. but cant afford them right now. I will wait for a sale then splurge. never thought of trying the vitamin e range tho.
what a treat you got
I really like the toner so far.I'll def repurchase that. It's not too pricey either. The cleanser is milky and I'm not keen on milky cleansers as I don't feel my skin's very clean after using them.
@ Lionloving tiger - Yeah I'll let you know how I get on with it.
@ Liparazzi - Thank you. I'll have a snak peek!
@ Princesspinkcat - Same here. As the prices crept up I stayed away. I don't understand why their prices leapt up so so much.
Thanks for the comments ladies x
I just recently got back in Body Shops Body Butters, but I've been missing them. They are fantastic and go on nicely and last the entire day. What is not to love?
@ etoilee8 - They're great but I still think they're too expensive. I hate paying for stuff that I know used to be cheaper, hence why I go straight to Ebay.
