I'm back ...*meh*

Friday, October 02, 2009

So I'm back. I'm not really in the best of moods to be honest. I feel devoid of emotion and pretty frustrated. I've had a 3 hour nap and don't think I'll suffer too badly from jetlag as I feel 'okay'. Saying goodbye to Richaud was yet another ordeal which never gets any easier. I gave myself the sickest headache on the flight back cos of all my crying and landed with the most puffy, moisture stripped face that would have any dermatologist worthy in his field recoil in horror. Some serious skin sos will be taking place this evening.

This LDR leaves me so emotionally drained every time I have to leave. I know it won't be forever but until then it's just not cool. I've already spoken to him three times since I walked through the door. We had such a brilliant time together and now I've well and truly come back to LDn with an almighty bump.

On a brighter note, Richaud gave me the surprise of all surprises in the early hours of Thurs morning. We'd been playing 'Wheel Of Fortune' on his I-Phone (rock n roll eh?) and decided to turn in for the night as it was almost 3am. After putting the lights out, he complained that something was digging in his back through the pillows and put the light on again. He pulled out a white box and I just thought it was something either his niece of nephew had hidden there and forgotten about. He opens the box and there's a brown box inside, still oblivious I say 'What's what?" - he opens it and the Michael Kors watch I've wanted forever is in it!!!

How the hell he managed to sneak it home without me seeing it I don't know, cos I am ALL up in his face the minute he walks through the door after work. He's so romantic and thoughtful, he never stops. I'm so lucky to have him cos he treats me like a queen. I love the watch even more now it's on my wrist than I did when peering at it through the showcase glass. Thank you sweetie!! xxx

Love!

As usual I took far too much make up with me (despite actually taking far less than I did last time), and proceeded to use the same 6 products for a fortnight leaving the others gathering dust in my travel bag. Will I ever learn to pack sensibly? Probably not. *shrugs*

I hate unpacking but am determined to get the bulk of it done this evening so I don't have to trip over my luggage any longer than necessary!

I know you're curious to see what I bought back with me. Bear with me as posts and pics are coming shortly. Hope you're all well and the past fortnight's been a good one x

Awwww chick.....sounds like you have a 24 carat diamond there, worth all the tears and hankies. You got me imagining one of those airport scenes in movies, always gets me :( It wont be forever like you said, and it does make you appreciate each other more, when you see each other.

The watch OMG...perfection in a box !!!!

Aww hun, I know how you feel. I am so bad at goodbyes and always cry for the journey home when I leave my mum and sister (300 miles away, so not as extreme as you!)

The watch is gorgeous though! What a lucky lady you are! :)

Keep your chin up! Big Hugs xxxx

Keep strong hon, believe me I know how difficult it can be (I'm not in a LDR but a another type of the ordinary relationship that I won't get into) but all relationships have their difficulties and it sounds like you guys are perfect for each other... it'll work out ;)

randomlondongirl said...

Oh man the LDR must be so difficult! The watch is a beauty, I was admiring my friend's Michael Kors watch the other day which is quite similar to yours but with diamantes on it. Yours is much prettier and elegant though. What a sweet man you have! x

I have never been in any type of LDR so I can't even begin to imagine the emotions you are feeling. It seems you both are very committed to each other so that day will come when distance will no longer be an obstacle.

That was really sweet of your guy to surprise you with the watch. I love surprises, especially when it's an item you have been wanting or news you want to hear.

Welcome back my lovely! I thought I had it tough when I was in a LDR that was less than an hour and half away, so I can only imagine how difficult it is for you both. Glad you had an awesome time, and sorry you've had to leave him again. How long untl next time?

Gorgeous watch, what a romantic he is! xxx

Awww your relationship sounds so lovely, you're both so lucky to have each other. And the watch - I'm so jealous, I've been searching high and low around London for it. Going to the US soon, might have to sniff it out. When you mentioned the box I thought you were going to say it was a ring! ;) x

Aww what a sweetie! I absolutely adore that watch, way too expensive for me though so I've had to make do with an UO look-a-like which I do really like even if it is too big for my wrists! Would love the real thing though. I need me a man like yours! x

Welcome back lovely... that part about you crying made me swallow a bit too hard... feel for you.

The watch made up for it though (and the story awwwww!) Lucky lady!

Thanks for all the lovely comments.

@ LLT - Thanks hon. I know it's just an obstacle that's in our way at the moment and we're strong enough to get through it.

@ Lollipop - he'll be here again in Feb hopefully so focusing on that.

@ LamiatS - Thank you :-) The watch is in Selfridges.

@ K-Hart - Yep, I'm focusing on that to keep me sane :-)

@ Lipglossiping - Aww don't, you'll start me off again :-( I'm feeling much better today than I was yesterday though.
