Preview of Jimmy Choo for H&M women's collection

We don't have long to wait now until the latest designer collaboration for H&M hits stores, which is bound to see the repeat scenes of fans (nutters) queuing from 5am in the freezing cold anxiously waiting to get their hands on their desired must-have item(s).

First impressions? Initially I was quite excited for this collection, but having now seen the items up close, I'm quite disappointed. I feel there's no stand out item that looks unique enough to warrant me leaving my warm bed and braving the arctic conditions that will be no doubt freestyling over my face in a months time. However, I really liked the belt when I saw it being fitted on one of the models in a preview pic a few months ago and and I still like it now. The thick chunky metal/diamante bracelet and zebra studded flats have also caught my attention ..but do I love them enough to leave my house at stupid am?! Probably not ..

I refuse to line the pockets of those who will be rushing to grab the cheaper accessories and listing them on Ebay before I've even woken up that morning if I decide not to go!

Prices will be start at £30 but personally to me, it makes no sense in forking out £200 for the most expensive item in the collection when you can save a couple hundred more pounds and get a pair of heels direct from Jimmy Choo, not H&M for Jimmy Choo which will be spotted on the feet on more than just a few girls on a Saturday night. I guess that's just the inner snob in me coming out. If I'm gonna fork out on a pair Jimmy Choo heels, I don't want to be one of 10 different girls wearing them in the same club!

What do you think? Will you be rushing to H&M at the crack of dawn to secure your spot in the anticipated queues?

Jimmy Choo for H&M will be released on November 14th in 200 stores worldwide. Clothing, bags and accessories will be launched for both men and women.

(May I just add that the 14th falls on a Saturday so the crowds are likely be even crazier than the ones seen during the past designer releases which have all fallen on a Thursday. Gah ..I think I'll stay in bed and save my energy for the Boxing Day sales!)

I agree - I think the problem with these 'designer for such 'n' such cheap discounted store' ranges is that everyone and their mama (and in some cases, I mean that literally) gets it and it loses that je ne sais quoi. It's no fun if every two bit scrubber's wearing it!

I surely won't be queuing at stupid hours in the morning, that's for sure. But I am looking forward to seeing the collection in full nonetheless.

completely agree! none of the items seem extra special and exciting to me...a little reminiscent of when Patricia Fields did a collecion for ASOS. I do love that H&M always spice things up by collaborating with great designers but i wont go out of my way to get anything from this collection, since everyone else will be wearing it x

I was mega excited when I first heard about JC for H & M but now I have starte dto have the same thoughts as you, whereby, I don't want to be spotting loads of girls wearing the same shoes as me. I like to be a bit individual and so I tend to choose things that may not be seen as mainstream 'trendy' but it suits my personal style.

I agree, nothing catches my eye. It never fazes me when a designer does a collection for a store, as like you said above, it's always the same; ebay craziness, lots of people wearing the same, most the time they're overpriced too. Nah not for me x

Some things look nice, but I'm way too lazy to get out of bed that early on a Saturday and fight over stuff with pre-teens and their mothers in the middle of Bromley. Think I'll just wait for the sales at Mango.

Im with you! I rather dish out a few hundred extra for the real thing. I dont love having everything everyone else has..it loses it special feeling. I am not ashamed to admit it, I am a huge snob when it comes to fashion. beauty? not so much, fashion though....big fat yes!

I really like the black caged heels in the first photo, the studded flats are quite cute too. I'd be very surprised if my store gets anything though, and there's no way I'm getting up early on a Saturday either!

I won't be bothering. Most shoe designers don't believe in feet that come in EEE wide :(

Yeah. i'm not gonna be queueing. Especially not outside Hennes. lol.
And yeah it has for blinkin' freezing lately.

I completely agree with what you have said! Nail on the head.

Why they didn't just bring out more styles for the £200 mark in JC, I will never know.....

MW for H&M was a great idea, but shoes? not so much. Don't see Louboutin's in Topshop now, do you?

Must admit I can't get my head round this concept. Love shoes, but wouldn't spend £200 to buy shoes from H&M.

Nice post :) xx

I am right with you on this one. Not jumping out of my bed in the cold to fight the masses for this collection, and I definitely don't want to run around town looking like everyone else. I'm pretty sure here in NYC everyone will be lined up for this collection. If I want Jimmy Choo, I'll save up and get the real thing as the quality of these pieces does not seem to match the prices.

You know I didn't even realise November 14 was a Saturday! That's me out of the running then. Oh well. Maybe there'll be a bracelet lost under a jumper that I can scavenge later.
