I've been very good over the past few weeks and have spent very little money on make up since coming back from visiting hubs. The only purchases made have been from funds in my Paypal account (and that's not reeeeal money is it?!!) and I also bought the latest Sleek palettes last week.
Over the past few months I've built up my makeup collection to the point where I don't need to buy as much as I have done previously. However, I thought I'd treat myself yesterday and passed by MAC with Miss Virtue . We decided to go to the Covent Garden store instead of the Carnaby St Pro store for a change and it was a great improvement on my last experience, when I was scrutinised by the assistant manager when I took a product back for a refund. How very dare I, what was I thinking?! *rolls eyes*
Creme d'Nude (Cremesheen)
Bare (Slimshine)
Embark e/s refill
Conjure Up mineralize blush (Magic, Mirth & Mischief)
If you look closely you may be able to see the fine glitter in this shade, luckily it's not overpowering.
Nothing else took my fancy from Magic, mirth and MIschief, though Blue Sorcery mineralize e/s duo looked nice. I didn't want to try the lipstick testers on my lips (sanitised or not, too many lips have been on them for my liking!) so spent an age doing swatches on my hand in varying degrees of lighting. I'm fairly satisfied that I can make both choices work for me and I plan to use Bare today and put it through its paces.
I also bought two more blushes from Gossmakeupartist's blog sale last week and they arrived a couple of days ago. Deep was on my wishlist so I'm really pleased about getting it at such a cheap price. Brazen works with a light hand and will look nice with a bit of sheen over the top so that'll encourage me to dig out my MSFs.
I keep forgetting that I can use Illamasqua cream blushes on my lips. The MUA who served us in Selfridges as we browsed reminded me, so I'll see what I can do with Deep as it's lovely sheer berry shade.

16 beauty lovers have sumthin to say:
All of those blushes look amazing against your skintone. I'm pale and pasty so doubt they'd look as gorgeous on me!
Love the swatches of the Illamasqua, deep looks so pretty x
'deep' looks sooo beautiful!...so does everything else really :) do you wear the nude lipsticks on their own or if not what sort of lipglosses would you pair them with?
@ Lollipop - I think Conjure Up would suit you.
@Shakespearesandstilettos - I haven't worn either of them yet but I'd wear them on their own blended into a lipliner or with gloss over the top.
My face nude glosses off the top of my head are:
GOSH lipgloss 004
MAC Instant Gold
MAC C-Thru
Rimmel Vinyl Bronze
MAC Plushglass Wildly Lush
I'll do a post on them when I've cleared my blogpost backlog! x
I am in LOVE with the way Brazen comes up on your skin..this is why I love your swatches, you really do them properly (thanks!) Looking at both in the pot, I'd think Deep was more a shade that would suit me but the swatch shows that a light dusting of Brazen will work better.
I have been VERY good on the buying front recently, done 3 rounds of Project 10 Pan so I've treated myself to the Illamasqua shadows from Gossmakeupartist's blog sale. Paid for them today and can't wait for them to get here.
I'll be buying some Illamasqua blushes when I've sold some of my makeup off..
Nice haul! I love that MAC blush, it's gorgeous! I need to get me a MAC Blush. lol
Creme d'Nude is an awesome lipstick.
I love this haul...such pretty colors
Another amazing haul :) The blushes are gorgeous! xx
Yes you are worth it and the money in your PayPal account is not real money (that's one of my favor lines, lol) at least that's what I tell my husband all the time. Every time I put my self on a no buy I spend more money, I'm hopeless. I wanted some of those blushes but the sale was UK only. Very nice haul
The only think I really want from MMM is the pink lipglass/lustre mini set...and perhaps the Smoke N Mirrors e/s set...that's about it
Great Haul. Conjure Up mineralize blush (Magic, Mirth & Mischief) is so beautiful! Thanks for the swatch, I'm definitely buying it :)
How does the Creme d' Nude Lipstick look on you? Picture please :)
Good for you, and great swatches. I am loving conjure up. I may have to add it to my chrimbo wish list :-)

Awesome MAC haul!! How do you like Creme D' Nude l/s?
Love the Illamasqua blushes, they suit your skintone sooo much! Conjure Up looks lovely too. I really want Creme d'Nude as I love the formulation of the cremesheens, think I might get it as one of my B2M lippies x
