Bourjois go old skool

Tuesday, December 01, 2009

Bourjois have been around for yonks and to celebrate they've released a collection of LE eyeshadows sporting a range of gorgeous vintage-like designs on the casing which were originally used by Bourjois at the end of the 19th and early 20th century.

For a limited time these are now available in special gift sets, each containing 3 Round Pot Eyeshadows to create a perfect smoky eye look. You can choose from either a grey or brown smoky eye look and they include handy 'how to' instructions on the back of the box to give you a helping hand.

How much do they cost?
£15.00
Where can I find them? Selected House of Fraser stores, ASOS and HQ Hair

I'm not finished yet ....

Bourjois have also teamed up with Parisian Artist and Illustrator Nathalie Rete to celebrate the brand's Parisian association, with a LE collection of its famous Little Round Pots for eyes and cheeks called "Rendez-vous a Paris".

Each pot carries its own unique design featuring a famous Parisian landmark. This set is only available to buy at Asos.com while stocks last.

I managed to get my my hands on the blushes, so check out how they look in 'real life'.

Those blushes are gorgeous, what's the pigmentation like on them?

I love the Bourjois blushes but because they're baked they tend to go hard after a while and you have to scrub off the hard top layer to get the soft, pigmented stuff back again *sigh*
But this sexy packaging is almost worth it on its own :D

These are soooo cute. I can't wait to see your swatches and looks! The blushes are heavenly.

@ Leanne - Really? I have Bourjois e/s and they've not done that. Oh I hope these blushes don't do that. Make sure they stay airtight in their little container.

@Shangri-La - These are the first Bourjois bluhses I've owned and I like the finish. They're blend well and the pigment is really nice for a natural flush. You don't have to work too hard to make the colour show up at all.

@Juvenescent - I'll use one tomorrow and snap a quick FOTD when I get home (if I remember!).

this is a bad post, reading it straight after the one about the leggings and succumbing to peer pressure and all. xP
i have owned bourjois blusher in the past and tbh, it's cutely packaged and smells yummy but the formula isn't all that special, imo.
but dilemma, i love paris so bad it's painful and am misisng it particularly bad these days so these might just be what i need!
if i get anything it'll be the white eyeshadow with the arc de triomphe, to use as a face highlighter. :)
