Illamasqua - Body Electrics

After a long awaited build up, the latest collection Body Electrics, from home grown brand Illamasqua, has now hit counters.

I'm not gonna lie, I thought it would be more..erm..exciting? I'm over liquid metals now and although the dry body oil in Pulse looks nice, I'm reluctant to fork out £32 for it. The purple polish JoMina, looks interesting and I'm hoping it's really bright and different to recent purples that I've cast my eye over.

I'm more taken by the promo images, than the products themselves to be honest, which I think look super-cool.

What do you think? Is the collection a yay or nay for you?

I have to say it didn't rock my world at all - I liked the liquid metals palette but I already own 2 so it wasn't worth it :(

I don't own any illamasqua product. It's too posh for me xx

there isn't anything there that immediatly catches my attention. maybe the liquid metal pallette but still I'm not really that bothered about it!

then again it might still be biased on illamasqua because I dislike how their website is set out lol- it's all black and there is nothing exciting about it!

haha if you hadnt have posted this I wouldn't know about this collection - illamasqua as a brand just don't interest me:(
x thanks x

Love the promo images, but none of the products really appealed to me... Liquid metals look amazing, but I've heard they crease like crazy.

I really wanted to like this collection- I currently don't any Illamasqua products as nothing has ever jumped out at me and I have to say I feel the same about this lot too :( I love the idea of liquid metal but I'm sceptical about them :/
I'm in central london at some point this week tho so I may swing by selfridges and give it a try.

I like the look of that huge brush but would have to see it in person to see how big it is and to have a feel of how soft it is!!!

honestly, it looks like a snore.

There is nothing that has caught my imagination. I'm wondering if it might be a bit of a 'grower' but I've never been keen on the liquid metals other than to look at and if I wanted illuminated body oil... I'd get some Hei Poa at less than a 1/3 of the price.

My initial impressions are that it's a disappointing collection. But as you say, the visuals are stunning.

have to admit was quite taken by the look of the dry body oil in the white/pearl tone. but that's just me, I can see there is a general bronzing/body theme but it's not a very coherent collection. In all honesty though just want my oil to arrive so can try it out, nevermind the collection.
