The centrepieces of the new Estee Lauder Pure Color collection, for me are the delectable five colour eye shadow palettes, suitably named Blue Dahlia and Surreal Violet. The limited edition eye shadow palettes provide all the materials to create the three looks promised: neutral, smoky fashionable or strong.
Let's take a closer look at Blue Dahlia, designed by Estee Lauder's Creative Makeup Director, Tom Pecheux, which comprises of five very different, yet complimentary eye enclosed in beautiful gold casing.
The white highlighter with flecks of shimmer, the neutral mink, the two fabulous blues at opposite ends of the colour spectrum and the black matte are both easy on the eye and can be used to achieve a variety of looks. When swatching, all the shadows transferred to my hand smoothly, although the teal blue feels rougher in texture than the other shades, which came as a surprise as the rest are buttery soft. I doubt this will prove to be a problem though as colour pay off displays the same density for all shades.

A FOTD using the palette is coming next week (my hair is a mess at the moment and will not be exposed on my blog until it's sorted on Sunday!)
The Estee Lauder Blue Dahlia and Surreal Violet eye shadow palettes will be available to purchase in August, priced at £34 each ..not long to go now!
