Topshop Make Up A/W Collection - Heavy Duty

It's funny that given the blaze of publicity many beauty blogs (including my own) gave to the new Topshop Make Up range that was released a few months ago, not much has been said or heard of it since. We're so fickle!

Anyway, cast your eyes over the new images of the upcoming A/W collection which has certainly upped the ante in since its May debut. The packaging has taken on a sleeker appearance for the new season and brings with it a mixture of wet and dry textures, focusing on foils and metallics paired with vampy lips.

The collection which goes by the name of Heavy Duty, consist of 17 items including a mirrored eye shadow duo palette, lip markers (reminiscent of those that featured in the MAC Art Supplies collection), and a number of other products for the eyes. lips and nails such as liners, polishes, glosses and eye crayons.

The Kohl Dust features a unique formula, which allows you to crumble and smudge it to create the perfect smoky eye. Perfect for both the upper and lower lid, inside and out, I get the distinct impression that this is the product that is supposed to get us all talking.

The Limited Edition A/W collection will be available at selected stores and online from late September. Priced between £6-£10, it won't burn a hole in your pocket.

I'm sure I'll pop into Topshop at some point and have a look at the new collection when it's released. Will you or are you over Topshop Make Up now?

I had a play with this collection last week and it's not as bad as the first collection (which I thought was a bit crap) - cheap and very on-trend which fits the market I guess.

Saw the Kohl Dust being applied and it wasn't bad actually - but only if you like the messy, worn-in smokey eye look since it's not very precise and has fall-out issues. No7 did a similar liner with a lot more control...

I wasn't to keen on the collection, but I am a sucker for the red lip marker

@D.D - I don't favour that look on myself at all. I just look like a dirty tramp who's got crap eye make up on. I envy girls who can carry that smudged eye look off :-(

@Wande's World - I don't think they suit me and I HATED the MAC lip markers. The eye duo looks nice.

That super dark glittery(?) black gloss looksamazing. Definitely something I'll pick up! I'm a fan of the Topshop cream blushes, they're fabulous :)

It's funny because I really didn't care the for Top Shop line when it first came out (it looked a little juvenile to me), but there are some things here that are piking my interest, like the pewter eye pencil and the nail polish.

I really wanted to like the first collection but I had issues with all the make up I bought, staying on! Even with primer, it didn't last at all. Don't know if its worth giving anything from this collection a go?

Hmm, I found their first collection totally uninspiring and overpriced for what it was, not sure about this one, will have to swatch it in the flesh one lunch time :)
I just discovered your blog - it's great and am following :)

I never got round to trying anything from the first collection but really like the look of some of these products - I love dark eyes for winter so the Kohl Dust sounds fab. x

I didn't really like their first range as the packaging made it look a bit cheap and there wasn't anything that exciting or that I hadn't seen before. However, I have to say that their A/W range looks a lot nicer and I might go down to swatch some of it when it comes out! xx
