Could It Be (Egyptian) Magic?

If you believe the press surrounding this product then this is the answer to all your skincare needs. As well as rejuvenating and repairing the skin, Egyptian Magic, a multi purpose oil based cream, which looks remarkably similar to vaseline, is also meant to heal and minimise the effects of scars, burns, stretch marks, insect bites, rashes and skin conditions. You can even use it as a make up remover!
I first heard read about this product on a U.S beauty blog, about a year ago. It's not new, it's been around for a hot minute but when I heard last month that it had officially launched in the UK it aroused my interest again.

In egyptian Magic, the super moisturising benefits of olive oil are combined with the healing powers of bees wax and honey which are full of antioxidants to protect the skin. The other ingredients are royal jelly, bee pollen and bee propolis. All six ingredients are 100% natural which I'm sure will be music to the ears of many.

This has supposedly taken the celebrity world by storm with Madonna and Juliette Lewis being named as fans (when when brands realise that the vast majority of consumers don't care if a movie star/singer/*insert non-entity* uses their product and that it won't necessarily influence our decision to purchase it). Although it sounds almost too good to be true (healing third degree burns? Really??), I'd still like to try it out for myself at some point and see what all the fuss is about.

For those of you who've already tapped into the hype that surrounds Egyptian Magic and have had a chance to try it, please let me know what your thoughts are on it. A skincare must have? Or is it best left to float down the River Nile?

You can find it on HQ Hair and Beauty Bay, with prices starting from £24.95 or call Vital Life Direct to order on 0207 720 1441

I really want to try this for myself.

Sounds like nonsense to me. My mum's been making me rub vaseline and cocoa/shea butter on burns and scars for years and it did me well. I've had enough of companies trying to repackage tried and tested remedies only to sell it back to us for quadruple the price. KMT

thats pricey. and honestly, third degree burns are you kidding?

Julliette Lewis and Madonna are probably the worst celeb buyers they could have bahahahaha

i'll stick to my nivea thanks!

however, thanks for posting this, i've seen it appear a few times on blogs, nice to hear your take xxxx

How long do you think that tub will last?! £20 odd is a little expensive for an everyday moisturiser!! LOL... However... If it does what it says on the tin I might just have to get my beauty-junkie-hands on this baby!!

I was quite tempted by it until I got to the price part... yikes! Seems quite similiar to Aquaeous Cream though so will be interested to hear other's thoughts on it.

@London's Beauty - The spiel totally reels you in, doesn't it? You're not alone...

@Sankofa - Tell it like it girl! LOL

@Kaushal - I think it'd last quite a while. It's quite oily so you'd use it at night. I'm gonna get it. I need to see what this does..if anything and why women stateside have been going gaga for it!

@City Girls Fashion Box - You reply had me cracking up! Yeah, the burns had me *side eyeing* ridiculously.

@LionLovingTiger - Yeah, I know what you mean, but there aren't many things I want at the mo beauty wise so I think I may just get it anyway - all in the name of research!

@Dhalia - Nah, you're not. I think a lot of people haven't heard of this.

I have this cream, and it doesnt do anything! its just like a tub of vaseline, waste of money!

*Creme Cup* - Thanks for your comment! I don't want it anymore!!!! LOL

I think I will also get this as I've read it helps with certain skin conditions which I do suffer from, anything natural has got to be better than harsh medicated creams!

I'm always up for trying products that are natural... and this one does sound interesting... how much is it??

I've been interested to try this, but it sounds so much like one of my regular favourites I'm not sure there's much point. I'm not affiliated with this product at all, just really like it,and the good thing is you can try a small pot cheaply to see if you like it.
Boots Botanics also do an Organic Face Super Balm that's pretty similar and quite good.

I actually really like this. It's one of the only 'creams' that soothes my itchy dry skin on my arms and legs! also you don't need much, so one tub should last at least 6 months. don't bash it till you've tried it properly :)

I keep reading about this too and am also intrigued!

I've been using this cream every single day diligently for two months now. I put it on at night and my skin feels rejuvenated in the morning. It works GREAT as a moisturizer and it's also helped me with lash growth! I've heard people say that the tub has lasted them a year..which I actually believe since I've use this every night for two months and have barely put a dent in it. Also, it's ALL NATURAL, and I definitely cannot say the same about most beauty products out there.

However, some downsides.. I bought this from my local Whole Foods for around $50 (I live in Canada. You do the conversions.)--yikes! So pricey:(! Also, I haven't really noticed that it has made a significant different in my scars at all.

Hope this helped :)<3
