Review - Waxing with EOS Beauty

I hate waxing, I psych myself to get it done and the experience is usually such a disaster that I revert back to shaving and abandon waxing again for months. The last time I endured a bikini wax was just before I visited Turkey and it was horrendous! I made the mistake of going to a local salon during my lunch break. There was minimal information from the therapist and the care taken before, during and after the treatment was just well below my expectations.

Located in the heart of East London, EOS Beauty is less than a 2 min walk away from Bow Road tube station. Admittedly the last time I visited was last September when I opted for a Murad facial and consequently booked a course of four, which I never got round to having! Anyway, I found myself back in there last Friday having browsed their website and noticed that a waxing offer I'd seen over two months ago was still ongoing.

I was amazed that Sam, the senior therapist who carried out my treatments still remembered me. "You haven't been here for ages! Where have you been?" she exclaimed as she led me into an immaculately kept treatment room. As a customer, this instantly made me feel special and I was subtly impressed by her warm, familiar welcome.

As I explained how much I hated waxing, Sam expertly put any worries I had to bed as she confidently and infomatively explained what she was going to do. I opted for an underarm, half leg and extended bikini wax and can honestly say that they weren't as painful as I'd anticipated and I whimper hysterically if I'm so much as flicked on the arm! I was particularly dreading the underarm and bikini wax, but both were surprisingly tolerable and as a result I'm booked in to return in four weeks time. Combined, my treatments came to a total of £36 and I left without completely hair-free, without any annoying 'patchy bits' or random stray hairs sticking out.

Below are their current waxing prices:

EOS Beauty also offer hairdressing services in their salon Hair Domain, facials, massages, gelish manis and pedis and even hot stone treatments. If you're based in London and want well done treatments, delivered by experienced, friendly staff then I can't recommend this salon enough - they even offer a student discount on all their treatments.

On a side note, I'd love to know which of you mentioned my blog to Sam, when you visited after I recommended EOS Beauty last year! I'm all for giving my custom to local businesses and believe EOS Beauty is fully deserving of a special mention.
