Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Sandy beaches, breathtaking mountains and a laid-back, fun-loving culture that you cannot help but fall in love with. In 2014, Rio de Janeiro already showed the world what it has to offer when the marvellous city hosted the World Cup. In 2016 sports fans have yet another reason to return to Brazil’s second largest city, because this year it’ll be hosting the Olympic Games. They’ll take place 5th – 21st August but during your trip, you also shouldn’t miss some of Rio’s most iconic highlights such as the top of Corcovado hill with its famous statue Christ the Redeemer. From here you can enjoy an absolutely stunning view across the city.

Macau
If you like excitement, adventure, and an amazing nightlife, then you should book a plane ticket to Macau this summer. The “oriental Las Vegas” is famous for its many casinos and luxurious lifestyle. It’s a truly up-and-coming holiday destination that offers something for everybody. Try your luck in the world’s largest casino Venetian Macau, enjoy some of the excellent and diverse food Macau has to offer, explore Taipa Village and visit some ancient Buddhist temples.

Madhya Pradesh, India
2016 saw the release of a new film adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic fantasy adventure The Jungle Book. The 3D movie featuring Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, and Scarlett Johansson can easily get one dreaming about close-up encounters with tigers and panthers. The film’s landscape was inspired by the nature of the central Indian state Madhya Pradesh. So if you’re looking for a truly adventurous holiday this summer, then why not travel to the beautiful Satpura National Park in the heart of India?

Hokkaido, Japan
In spring 2016 Japan extended its Shinkansen network. The super high-speed bullet train now also travels from Tokyo to the northern island Hokkaido, which is known for being Japan’s natural adventure playground. Laidback cities, lush forests, clean lakes, breathtaking mountains and plenty of hot springs make Hokkaido one of the top destinations to visit this summer.

Costa Rica
Getting to Costa Rica from the UK used to involve changing planes at either Madrid or Miami, making the trip a little bit of a hassle. Luckily, it’s now possible to fly there directly from London cutting the total travel time to just under 11 hours. Discover the beautiful landscape of this Central American country. Mountains, jungles, beaches, and volcanoes make it a truly exciting and novel place to visit all year round.
