Yesterday afternoon I took the plunge and went met up with some fierce and fabulous bloggers. Up until yesterday I’d pretty much kept my “blogging world” separate from my “real world”. I wasn’t really nervous about meeting up with the girls as I felt I “knew” the ones I chat to on an almost daily basis on Twitter already and the ones I’d never spoken to I’d soon get to know.
I met up with the writers of The Musings of Ondo Lady, The Cocoa Diaries, Mad News, K.Hart, Fantasy Ride and Omkari along with my beauty sidekick The Virtues of Beauty and felt I was amongst old friends as I laughed my head off loudly and repeatedly. We met and ate at Savannah Jerk (better known as Mr Jerks which is what I’ll always refer to it as) and enjoyed the delicious food on offer. If you’ve never tried Caribbean food I’d recommend this restaurant to introduce you to some of the yummiest west indian cuisine London has to offer. It’s incredibly purse friendly and has a lovely homely atmosphere too.
As we got talking it was funny how our paths had already crossed in our day to day lives – from going to the same schools, to living in the same area, to knowing the same people in our social circles. Yesterday I learnt just how small the blogging world is. I also used to work with Keysha of The Cocoa Diaries many moons ago so it was really nice seeing her again after so long as it was meeting all the new faces too.
I don’t think we realised just how loud we were at times. We were roaring at the tops of our voices and ended up staying until the staff politely turfed us out at closing time.
I can’t wait to do it again 🙂

Oh wow sounds great. Glad u had fun. No one in my real life knows about my blogging apart from my bf and mum. It's weird really as its nothing 2 b ashamed of. Tho I would feel awkward if someone from work read it or saw my vids.

Hmm no one irl knows about my blogging either as I feel it's a place for 'me' and somewhere I can obsess about the things I'm interested in. I don't know why because as legseleven7 said, it's nothing to be ashamed of but I dunno….for some reason I just feel it's private? Kinda weird really considering it's a public blog lol 😉
