One of the highlights of Facets, Illamasqua’s recent winter collection is the Multi Facet Palette in Semblance. Housed in new packaging, a plain black sleek, mirrored compact, it comes with a mini double ended angled and blending brush and features 8 ‘must have’ and best selling shades.
The palette comes with the following:
Gleam in Mirage
Cream Pigment in Hollow
Eyebrow Cake in Thunder
Powder Blusher in Hussy
Eyeshadows in Slink, Dizzy, Tango and Obsidian
Unfortunately this isn’t one of my favourite llamasqua products. Out of the eight shades, only five are wearable for me, therefore not making this a cost-effective product to buy. Hollow is too light to use as a contour on my skin tone, and Slink and Dizzy look ashy and washed out on me.
Hussy is a great blush shade and I’d recommend you check it out on its own as it’s great for warming up the cheeks, leaving them with a healthy looking flush, Tango is a nice metallic mid-brown and I was surprised to find I quite liked Mirage and how it looked on me – this is great as a highlighter on both cheeks and the browbone and leaves a gorgeous subtle glow. Quality-wise, I have no complaints, as the pigment in all shades is in fact really good. Those with darker skin tones, I’d recommend checking out Hussy, Mirage and Tango when you’re next at the Illamasqua store or near one of their counters.
Hussy is my favourite, but that should come as no surprise to regular readers who know I’m all about the blush!
If you’ve been lemming over Semblance, then it;s your lucky day as it’s currently reduced on the Illamasqua website from £45 to £22.50, so grab it here quickly before it’s discontinued.
