As promised here’s what I bought back from NYC with me. I didn’t buy any clothing or shoes – nothing caught my eye. Actually I lie, as there was a really nice Victoria Secrets jumper on the website but the estimated shipping date may aswell have been April 2010 so I didn’t bother to order it.
H&M had a couple of bits that made me go “Hmm” but why go all the way to NY and come back with H&M stuff?! Besides it’s cheaper here in Blighty. I walked into Forever 21 and walked straight back out again. That store is completely hit and miss. If you dig (and I mean DIIIIIIIIIIIIIG) deep amongst the polyester you can sometimes find a rare gem but it was in bad shape when I popped in. Even even the jewellery section was badly stocked and practically empty – not impressed. I’m not keen on Strawberry, Bebe or any of the other female stores either so I just gave up on looking for clothes.
I bought the Marc by Marc Jacobs bag and new camera I wanted which were the main things I had on my wishlist. First up my new bag – a twisted Riz Hobo. Yeaaaah baby! I actually got some money off thanks to the nice man who served me, who told me the 10% visitors discount was applicable. I didn’t think the discount applied to designer brands, so yay for the nice SA in Bloomingdales. Boo for the other SA who tried to recreate a ‘lost scene’ in Pretty Woman by interfering in my sale and snootily telling me that the small Riz had sold out. I replied “It’s not the small one I’m after”. Biyatch – mind your business!!
I love it! I stood scrutinising the leather for ages cos it’s so different from the leather on any of my other bags. ‘Butter soft’ doesn’t even begin to describe it. It’s almost too soft and is just what I’m looking for in an every day black bag. I can fit half the kitchen sink in it too which is an added bonus as I have a tendency to carry my worldly goods around with me.
I bought the camera I was after – a Canon SD780. I’m glad I waited until the last minute to buy it as it was discounted further the week I arrived. I’m still getting used to its features as I’ve never owned a Canon before. I’ll be attempting to study it in greater detail over the weekend. Roll on the FOTDs!
I ordered a few polishes from Transdesign as their shipping is quick (3 days) and their prices are cheap. My natural nails have never recovered from the horrific acrylic job I had done when I was 18 but I want to try and improve the state of them.

Oh and when I was in Sephora yesterday getting the Clinique moisturiser, I was informed that I was now a ‘VIB‘ . I’m glad my spendage in Sephora hasn’t gone unnoticed! LOL
Lipgloss86 gave me the heads up on this tooth whitening kit by Plus White which is supposed to be very effective.
My teeth are pretty white and I’m all for preserving that but I do have an underlying fear that this kit may make my teeth look OTT like Audrinas in The Hills (not a good look!). Hmmm we shall see.

Wow that Marc by Marc Jacobs bag is awesome, and nice to get a discount. I'm moving to NYC in Jan so am excited to be buying US stuff for less, you must let me know how you get on with the teeth whitening stuff (i'm afraid the Yanks will laugh at mine). I'd love to get a camera there too.
@ KB – Thank you and I wish I moving to NYC in Jan, you lucky thing! LOL why would Americans laugh at your teeth? There are plenty whose gnashers are less than perfect. Not everywhere stateside has that LA attitude.
Go to the B&H superstore to buy a cam, there's so much choice. It's like the Willy Wonka of cameras LOL
I recently bought the plus white from amazon. It's good, but it won't turn your teeth audrina white, it's not that strong. I promise lol 🙂

Wow AMAZING bag, gorgeous! *drools* Lovely camera too, I have a canon powershot (not the same as yours) and it's fab. Found it quite easy to figure out so I'm sure you'll pick it up quickly once you start playing around with it. Love your other buys too, especially the polishes. I'm polish-mad atm so I'm trying not to look too closely at that pic to avoid temptation lol.
