After the success of the original Soap & Glory Sexy Motherpucker (a truly comical name, which can cause much embarrassment if misheard!) lip plumping lipgloss, they’ve now released four super-colour shades to add to the range, which also come in some yummy sounding flavours.
In addition to the original, non flavoured lipgloss you can now choose from:
Candy Gloss – vanilla flavour
Half Naked – buttered popcorn flavour
Yummy Plum – chocolate/raspberry flavour
Pink Apricot – chocolate/orange flavour
Take a look at Half Naked, which I think smells more like a Snickers bar actually than buttered popcorn! I stuck it under the nose of a friend who thought it smelt like chocolate ice-cream though, so go figure.
The packaging is typical of Soap & Glory, vintage, feminine and a lil’ quirky. The gloss comes in a sturdy plastic tube and comes with a standard doe foot wand, which makes application relatively easy, although I prefer the brush applicator the original comes with. The lipgloss itself is quite thick in texture and pigmented. I quite like this shade of dusty pink though and find it compliments my MAC NC50 skin tone well.
This claims to work by containing scientifically-proven plumping microspheres (stay with me), that explode in volume up to 10x when they come into water. Basically imagine little sponges that expand when you apply them to your lips. It also contains a rare circulation enhancing ingredient which gives your lips an ‘electric’ shock buzz, which makes the blood move around the area, thus creating a swelling effect.
Now I dunno about it maximising my lips x 10 but the pins and needles style tingling gives the impression that SOMETHING is happening. However, when the tingling sensation fades away, I’m left with the same set of lips I had before – just shinier to look at. To be honest I’d prefer if the formula didn’t make my lips tingle, as it distracts me and results in me licking the lipgloss off in an attempt to make it stop.
The tingling sensation can take you by surprise (as it unfailingly does to me each time I use it) as it tends to kick in quite ferociously. There have been too many occasions where I’ve grabbed the original without realising, slicked it on and then wondered what the devil was occurring as my lip started to ‘buzz’ five minutes later!
Priced £8 (which I think is overpriced for a product that doesn’t actually do what it says it will) you can find them in Boots stores, Harvey Nichols in Beyond Beauty and on Asos.com

It's quite pigmented which is something I didn't expect.
I've never been drawn to their makeup range as I feel it's a bit halfhearted when brands bring out one product and not the rest. I feel they should either bring out something everyone would like or just concentrate on body and skincare.
I once used a KISS plumping gloss (they used to be in Boots about 8 years ago) and it was painful. It tingled a bit, then some more, then some more…it tingled for a good hour before I took it off and threw the gloss away.
It actually works for me really well (plumping wise) but eee gads the feeling.. eugh!!! :s
Very curious about the new ones as i like snickers bars so this is a possible choco buy for me! 🙂 xx
I like the colors and feel a slight difference (psychological perhaps!) on my lips too. But I agree, I would rather use it for the colours they come in which are really pretty.
The flavours sound quite yummy! But yh… I have the XXL Clear Gloss version… it stung like mad and only lasted for like 5mins… JUST GET BOTOX PPL…!!
this looks so good. my mum has that exact one and i tried it on and its so nice.. only thing i hate is the tingling. It just annoys the heck outta me. I might try it tho- you have made me want to hahaa.

Personally I love tingly lipglosses, lancome 001, carmex, call me crazy but when a lipgloss isn't at reach I have my own mixture (vaseline and vicks lol) in many locations around my home, and bag lol.
So I am generally used to the tingly feeling, but this on the other hand felt more tingly than anything that I tried before. I love it!!! I'm not used to it yet though!
Not sure about Soap and Glory products, for some reason I don't dig the packaging, so I always skip past. I may just give this a go and do a little comparison to my all time fave Lip Venom.
the colour looks nice but I just cant get with teh burning lip sensation. my lips are full and plump already. It would be nice if these didnt have the plumping ingredient in. having said that if I get one in the gift set I intend to bu for christmas than I will give a try.
but um does it really tingle badly
I actually love the colour of the lipgloss, but I don't really see a difference in the plumpness of my lips…
