Love ’em or hate them, you can’t deny The Pussycat Dolls quest for ‘Doll Domination’ has been in full force for the past couple of years. I know many a woman who are quick to label them as tacky, slutty or whatever but personally I think they’re fab and have actually released a good few hits. Buttons is my favourite single – IMO nobody can honestly say that track wasn’t a good one and the video oozed sex appeal.
Anyway I’ve found myself dancing along to their latest single a bit too much lately (behind closed doors of course), as it’s always on the music channels, and I just wanted to share my cheesy joy with you all.
The dance sequence from 3:23 in the video is my favourite bit. Saturday Night Fever eat your heart out! I think the girls make up looks great too.

The second track that has been stuck in my head for far too long is Souljah Boy’s “Kiss Me Thru The Phone”. This kid’s lyrical content is in no way comparable to say Nas, and Kermit the Frog has more credibility than him but I actually think this is quite a catchy track and ticks all the boxes to make it a mainstream chart success.
See, the thing about Souljah Boy is that he gets dissed all day long but his tracks get into your head something stupid! You only have to think back to how that bloody Superman “dance” swept America and beyond and how everybody still talks of “hopping out of bed and turning their swag on” to see how infectious his singles actually are. I don’t like the video for the track, I find it too sickeningly sweet but it’s not aimed at my age group so what the hell.
I’ve been annoying my boyf by singing this down the phone to him at every opportunity which has amused me greatly as he felt the need to sing ‘Turn My Swag On’ in my face, in public and LOUDLY no matter where we were when I last went to visit him in April – mad thing is people would bloody join in with him!!!
The kids love him and his crimes against music are short lived as he can’t churn out this cheesy rap-pop forever, so I may aswell entertain him while he’s still around LOL
Which tracks are you loving at the moment which perhaps you shouldn’t be?
I tend to find myself singing along to the Pussycat dolls when it's on the radio…Ciara too, although I think she's maybe a teensy bit more credible
I actually really like the “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” track. “Superman,” however, was awful.

I like both of Soulja Boy's two songs and no it's really not appropriate for me to be blasting about “getting my swag on…” while dropping my kids off to school, but I do it anyway! LOL!! I also like a couple Little Wayne songs but unfortunately I'm too lazy to look up the names of them (sorry)!!
