The new Pure Color lipglosses by Estee Lauder are been available to buy for a few weeks now, so I thought I better get a move on and get a post up.
Available in 24 shades and three finishes – shine, shimmer and sparkle, I was quite surprised at the coverage two of the three I was sent for review gave. They all offer sheer to medium coverage and the darker colours show up on my lips without changing colour or disappearing into my own naturally pink lip colour.
Top: Mod Poppy (shimmer)
Centre: Electric Ginger (shimmer)
Bottom: Brazen Berry (shine)
Both Mod Poppy and Brazen Berry when applied, leave a reasonably good amount of pigment and are still relatively lightweight on the lips. Electric Ginger is a sheer gloss with golden bronze shimmer which won’t really make an impact worn alone but over a nude or pinky lipstick of your choice will add a nice sophisticated shimmer if worn over the top.
I find them to be a little sticky, but personally it didn’t bother me. I’ve used far stickier lipglosses in the past, but feel this something I should mention anyway. They don’t dry my lips out and stay put – until it’s time to have something to eat. However, show me a lipgloss that genuinely stays put throughout a meal without the aid of a drying top coat..exactly, it doesn’t exist. Lipglosses are meant to be reapplied.
If you want to treat yourself to a moisturising lip treat then these exquisitely packaged lipglosses may b something for you to consider. You’re bound to find a shade or three to compliment you, whatever your skin tone.
How much are they? £15.00
Where can I buy them? Estee Lauder counters and online

I LOVE Estee Lauder lipglosses, they smell so yummy.
I haven't had one since the Michael Kors collection was out, so I clearly need to buy some. I'm loving the look of Star Pink, Frivolous Pink and Peach Sizzle.
*hears purse sobbing from across the room*

Electric ginger looks amaze-balls, Im really feeling the golden tinge for summer. Thanks for the swatches, its nice to see how these lip colours look on woc esp as Ive had some bad experiences buying products that just do NOT work with my skin tone =l
Mod Poppy looks gorrrrrgeous
These do look very interesting… and from what I 've seen on their website, they have a huge range of shades to pick from…
I 'll try to keep an eye out for these here (although you 're right, EL glosses tend to be on the stickier side)!
