As much as I often waste spend money on high end brands, let’s not forget the humble beginnings where my love for makeup began, in the likes of Boots and Superdrug where many a fab product for under a tenner can still be found.
We all know a high price doesn’t always equate to high quality and whilst browsing in Superdrug the other day I remembered that B had released a new makeup brush cleaner, which had caught my interest.
Presented in a small pump dispenser plastic bottle, the B Makeup Brush Cleaner claims to disinfect and condition your makeup brushes. Now if your brushes are filthy to start off with, then honestly, this isn’t going to cleanse them to the standard you expect – and if it does, that’s because you’ve dutifully been spray-cleaning them for HOURS!!
This is better suited if you’ve had a couple of days use out of your brushes and want to get rid of excess product. It gets rid of foundation and eye shadow really well. In fact I was shocked at how much it removed with just a few sprays. This will be great to take away with you on holiday when you want to clean off that green eyeshadow you saw fit to wear the night before or you simply don’t have time to wash them thoroughly under the tap. Simply douse the bristles with 2-3 pumps and massage your brush into a tissue. Repeat as necessary and allow brush(es) to air dry before their next use.
It serves its purpose for a quick clean and the price point is a welcome bonus.
