Estee Lauder’s Topaz collection hit counters a few weeks ago and I’m pretty confident that this has been one of the bestsellers in the collection.
The second Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelée is easy on the eye. Encased in the usual decadent packaging that we’re used to from Estee Lauder, Topaz Chameleon is marketed as a Tribrid formulation, of powder, liquid and gel. For me, it looks like a mousse, applies like a powder, yet feel buttery smooth like a gel on my skin.
Topaz Chameleon flatters deeper, warmer skin tones with its warm bronze hues, better than its predecessor Modern Mercury, which featured in the Modern Mercury 2011 A/W collection. Both are incredibly pigmented and should be applied with care, so as not to leave a metallic mess all over your face.
You can use this as a highlighter, eye shadow, bronzer on your cupids bow, for contouring – this is a really multi-functional product. If you have very dry skin, you may find this a little difficult work with, likewise if you have very oily skin.
