So much for my blogging resolution, eh? I’ve been extremely distracted of late, but hey, I’m here now, so let’s get back to business.
If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I’ve recently I’ve made a few lifestyle changes, overhauling my diet and incorporating some much needed exercise into my routine. My main reasons for this, are I want (need) to lose some weight and I’m also sick of having the equivalent to an asthma attack when I reach the top of a flight of stairs!
I’ve been using the Phillips Avance juicer for two weeks now (I received it in October, I don’t know what took me so long to get it out of the box) and as a result of the fresh juices I’ve whizzed up, I’m feeling much more energetic. Gone are the mid-afternoon slumps I used to experience without fail, at work and I’ve lost weight already, which has been a great boost of encouragement.
The Philips Avance is a beast of a juicer, squeezing every last drop of juice from your chosen fruit and veg. It has a powerful 800W motor, and is quite noisy when turned on but the results are fantastic.

I make a large jug of juice, having a glass for breakfast and another when I get in from work. I’m one of those people who hardly eat breakfast but will graze on rubbish later in the morning, so having a large glass of juice I’ve found to be beneficial as it’s surprisingly left me full until lunchtime. I was dreading cleaning it, after use but have found cleaning it stress-free and surprisingly quick. I clean it as soon as I’ve finished and I’m done within two minutes.
The Philips Avance is fully endorsed by The Juice Master himself,
Jason Vale, and a recipe book by him, packed full of delicious and healthy juices and smoothies is chucked in as a freebie which I’ve found both informative and very useful.
All the pulp is collected in the integrated pulp container, making it incredibly easy to dispose of, keeping mess to a bare minimum.
The first of many fresh juices combos I’ve made – Carrot, apple, strawberry, cucumber, blackberry and orange juice.
Juicing has encouraged me to up my fruit and veg intake without even thinking about it and I’m fully reaping the benefits of vitamins in veg such as spinach, kale and celery which ordinarily would have had no part in my day to day diet. I’m well and truly addicted to juicing and have spent a small fortune on fruit and veg. Love, love, LOVE this!
The Philips Avance has a RRP of £199.99 but is available to buy on Pixmania for £139 here – worth every penny.
