I’ve finally mustered up the strength and found the time to cast an eye over the purchases I made at this years IMATS show over the weekend. I’m quite proud of myself actually. I didn’t overspend and only defected from my original list slightly.
My only regret is not buying Make Up For Ever’s Shine On compact powder in Caramel but it will more than likely be mine soon enough.
First stop for me was over at Guru Makeup Emporium, who were offering the larger discount on Makeup For Ever. Top of my list was their So Divine Creamy Cleanser which I stumbled upon whilst browsing in Sephora when I was Paris two weeks ago. It removed the make up I was swatching so easily and left my skin feeling so moisturised, I just had to have it!
I also bought two of the new Rouge Artist Intense lipsticks, bringing home no 35 (satin blue raspberry) and no 28 (satin light taupe) and another back up of Full Cover concealer (not pictured as I forgot to include it and now can’t find it – urgh!) to replace the one my Mum nicked! I’m still using my original purchase which I bought at last year’s IMATS which gives an indication of just how long it lasts! I’ve used it almost every day too, so it’s been great value for money.
Can I have a round of applause for my grand display of willpower?!
Inglot were offering a 30% discount but I spent ages in their shop at Westfield’s last year so the only products to catch my eye this time round were their nail polishes, which come in some gorgeous shades. I treated myself to one of those and I hope its opacity doesn’t disappoint.
Finally I bought a foundation, from Make Up Paris Atelier, mistakenly thinking I was buying from Face Atelier. Imagine my face when I came across the Face Atelier stand a few minutes later – confused.com! It was quite a comical moment actually as Lipglossiping and I blamed the other for our ‘accidental’ purchases. It’s fine though, I was impressed with the coverage and texture of the base when I tested it at the stand and I’m looking forward to wearing it tomorrow.

The Makeup Atelier is french based cosmetic.I heard that many models, actresses here are fond of their foundation as it contains silicones and make a smooth canvas application.Let us know how is it 🙂

@Farah – Yeah and they're opening a shop on Finchley Road this month. I'm gonna wear it today. Fingers crossed it's as nice as it felt on my hand.
