I spotted this on Instagram a couple of months ago and it was being spoken of rather favourably, which stroked my curiosity. Ironically a couple of weeks later I was contacted by Lush so I figure this was fate and I was ‘chosen’ to review this product. Haha!
R&B (I don’t understand why it’s called that, but don’t don’t let the name distract you) is a leave-in hair moisturiser packed with a rich blend of oils and butters specifically for great for afro and curly hair.
Infused with natural ingredients such as oat milk, organic avocado butter and extra virgin coconut oil, it melts into my hair and scalp, leaving it feeling soft and hydrated.
I simply rub a small amount between my hands and work it through my hair, This works really well on my scalp too, leaving it feeling cool after use and isn’t too heavy. I like my hair products to smell nice and this doesn’t disappoint. It’s scented with orange flower and jasmine absolute. Of course, a favoured scent is individual. You may not like it, so have a good sniff before deciding to buy it. You can use this on wet and dry hair, although I’ve only used it on mine whilst dry. I imagine it’d act well as a deep conditioner. Not only is this great for afro and curly tresses, it can also be used on wavy, straight, coloured or damaged hair – R&B is for everyone!!!
Bottom line, will I repurchase this? YES! I’ve been taught a lesson here – not to turn my nose up at brands which don’t usually promote my hair type. My hair is fully natural and fine, so I don’t like to overload it with product and this conditions and moisturises to a really good standard. I’m very impressed.
Finally, as always with Lush products, this has not been tested on animals.
How much is it? £11.50
Where can I buy it from? Lush.co.uk and in branches nationwide

I'm always on the lookout for deep conditioners that work on my hair that I have tortured half to death. Will go and look at this one. Definitely
While I apprecite deep conditioners their marketing is terrible. Clearly they don't know anything about hair. R & B stands for Rythm & Blues in most contexts. The name doesn't make me gravitate toward it, nor does the hair type description. They might want to consult natural hair care professionals; so that we may take them seriously. Or maybe they should stick to soaps.
