I ignored the Archie’s Girls collection when it was released, but a half hearted browse at a MAC counter at the weekend, resulted in an unexpected purchase. After trying to engage my friends in a game of ‘Name the MAC eyeshadow’, I was drawn to a pretty looking blush on the Archie’s Girls display.
Prom Princess blush is described a “mid tone violet pink” and comes in a satin finish. I’m very impressed with the potential colour pay off considering it’s a satin finish, but initial application leaves a subtle wash of colour. This can be layered up and intensified with repeated buffing and blending. It was love at first swatch, as I admired the lovely sheen on my hand, which dazzled as it hit the lights of the department store ceiling.
I bought the last one, which was further confirmation in my eyes, that this purchase was meant to be. It leaves a natural looking flush of colour to the cheeks which is great for a daytime look without the fuss.
On a side note, knowing full well I’d have next to no chance of securing this so late from a MAC store, I paid full price as MAC Pro cards aren’t accepted in department stores. Errr when did MAC start charging £19 for a blush?! Jeez…
What was the last blush you bought?
