I hope you’re sitting comfortably cos this is gonna be a lengthy post! After being misinformed by MAC mail order yet again (I was specifically told on Wednesday that MAC Give Me Liberty of London would be out in both stores, online and through mail order on Tuesday 6th April), I was pleased to learn that MAC Liberty was indeed available in stores yesterday as anticipated.
Despite having the journey from hell to the Pro Store on Canaby Street, my unamusement at the traffic that saw me trapped for an hour on a bus, further accompanied by the miserable wet weather melted away the instant I stepped inside to be greeted by Miss Virtue who had her hands full of testers and my favourite MUA, Amanda, who greeted me with “ello trouble”.
Surprisingly there appeared to be quite a lot of stock left over from Spring Colour Forecast (no Ripe Peach obviously, though I hear it may possibly being repromoted in the future) and the displays where still out. MAC Give Me Liberty of London looked a little lonesome tucked away in the corner. I soon gave it my full attention though.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!
I bought:
Ever Hip l/s
Perennial High Style l/g
Petals & Peacocks l/s
Bough Grey e/s
Bough Grey e/s
Shell Pearl beauty powder
Blue India nail polish
I was armed with a pre-written list and pretty much stuck to it. I didn’t buy the much talked about Birds and Berries e/s as I have Strike a Pose from the Love That Look collection which is remarkably similar in colour. I compared Ravishing and Ever Hip and decided to go with Ever Hip for the timebeing. I’ve done a 360% on Dirty Plum blush, but contrary to reports the MUA’s assured me that it wasn’t being discontinued as far as they’re aware so I didn’t bother to pick that up, it can wait.
Bough Grey e/s has received a lot of criticism for its poor colour pay off but for the looks I have in mind for it, the pay off is just fine for me. Using a dense brush such as the MAC 239 picks up enough pigment so I have no issue with it.
Shell Pearl and Blue India swatches will be up shortly.
Art Supplies also made a surprise appearance yesterday too. I didn’t think we’d be receiving it in the UK until next month.

I walked away empty handed from this collection and I’m contemplating a return visit when the store’s quieter. I’m not bothered about the greasepaint sticks which have been released in eight new shades. I’ve barely touched the ones I bought from Style Black so won’t be adding to those, however I love coloured liners so had a play with the six new Pearlglide Eyeliners. I particularly liked the look of Designer Purple which seemed more dense than GOSH Velvet Touch liner in Purple Stain. Black Line caught my eye, but reminded me of MAC Kohl pencil in Orpheus which I own, so I didn’t pick that up. Almost Noir caught my eye too but I was undecided so didn’t buy any.
I didn’t get a chance to try the Lipstain Markers, nine in total, as the store was pretty busy and I wasn’t about to break a nail trying to elbow my way to the display. I’m not really interested in them as they didn’t look very flattering in Christine’s swatches, and appear to be quite unforgiving on the lips.
Finally, there’s Prep for Colour:
Prep for Colour promo image
Prep for Colour consists of 3 neutral eyeshadows, (including a of repromote Hey eyeshadow which was included in one of the Fafi e/s quads), a bad-ass hot fushcia pink lipglass and Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF50 and Skin Brightening Serum. I bought Sorcery e/s, described as a reddish mid tone brown but I also want to get Hey and Just Add Colour lipglass too. I’ll add swatches when I buy the rest. Check Tempalia here for a closer look at this small collection
I thought we werre going to get MAC Riveting, but I guess we’re not as it was nowhere to be seen. Have you had a chance to check the latest collections instore yet or are you waiting for it all to appear online on Tuesday? What’s on your list and if you’ve had a chance to play with MAC’s latest LE offerings what did you buy?

Hi! I think I saw you on your way into the store, but I wasn't sure (darn rain and umbrellas!) and didn't want to pounce on a poor unsuspecting stranger! But I was leaving the store at around 1.15pm and I'm sure I almost bumped into you.
My claim to fame for the day!
As for the makeup, they did seem to have a plenty of stock for LOL and lots from Spring Forecast which was quite suprising. I don't suppose you got any hint of when Ripe Peach may be repromoted?
@Fabdiva20 – I was plesantly surprised by them, but they're flattering 🙂
@Nazia – No, I was there much later! Just aswell you didn't pounce on the chick you saw LOL I raed on Specktra bout Ripe Peach. No mention of a release date though x
Petals & Peacocks looks AWESOME against your skintone! 🙂
