If you read my original post covering the latest MAC LE collections, you’ll know I also picked up a beauty powder in Shell Pearl (Pale peach with gold pearl) and Blue India nail polish from Give Me Liberty of London.
I already own a couple of beauty powders, these being:
Sunshine Pearl (Barbie Loves MAC) – Soft peach with pink pearlised pigments
Sunsparked Pearl (Sundressing and Magic, Mirth and Mischief) – Frost warm beige with pearl
In hindsight I probably didn’t need to buy Shell Pearl as it gives a similar effect to the other beauty powders I own. I can see a difference in shade on my skin though so that justification is good enough for me! The smoothest of the three is Sunsparked Pearl which glides on like butter – literally.

Beauty powders have a variety of uses, the main being a cheek highlighter. If you’re unsure of how best to utilise your beauty powder(s), then take a moment to watch Karen describe how to make the most of them, in this short video she put together:
On to Blue India, which is a unique dark grey blue. Coverage is very good and it took two coats to get perfect coverage. It’s in my favourite finish polish finish which is creme too.
Apologies for the shoddy paint job. It wasn’t fully dry when I papped my hand and was yet to be ‘tidied up’. This captures the true colour of Blue India.
This is definitely a shade I’d be most likely to wear in autumn and winter. It’s not very spring like and have a tendency to look quite dull in artificial lighting. In natural daylight it looks sharper and the uniqueness of the shade can be fully appreciated.
Have you bought or are contemplating buying Shell Pearl or Blue India? Yay or nay?
I bought shell pearl..my first BP but i love it. I've never been intereted in others from past collections for some reason. I wanted rhapsody in two from the too fabulous mineralized collection but when swatched, these two are identical. I'm on the fence about the liberty packaging though, not quite sure if i like it or not.
Vex, the beauty powders, what are they exactly. I'm struggling to work it out really. I'm imagining like a MSF but not mineral?
As much as I love the colour of Blue India, I didn't buy it because I've hated the wear of all the MAC polishs I've bought in the past. Seems to chip on me same day or the day after I put it on, even with a good base and top coat.
those beauty powders look stunning! You're gona make me buy them now hehe. And that nail paint is VERY similar to the Barry M's grey nail paint you know. I have the barry m grey color and its too gloomy for me unfortunately 🙁
@Ally – Glad you like your first BP. I know what you mean with the packaging. I really took a dislike to it to begin with, but I think I'm getting used to it now. I don't love it though.
@Charlie – Essentially they're just a highlighter/face powder. They look like pressed face powders and can add a subtle glow to the face as a whole or be used just as a highlighter. MSFs tend to be more concentrated and have much more shimmer and/or glitter in them.
@So Very Fabulous – I know what you mean. MAC Coconut Ice goes on appallingly, whereas a couple of others I have go on and stay on reallyy well. Their polishes are very hit and miss.
@Get Gawjus – LOL Well the other 2 are long gone and I don't think they'll change your life to the point where you MUST have it. I've not seen that Barry M polish. I'd have def bought it if I had.

Shell Pearl and Blue India were the exact two things I had earmarked from this collection. Like you I already have Pearl Sunshine and thought the two might be very similar, but from your swatches it looks like the pink pigment in SP will make a difference on my skin. And Blue India I definitely want.
I ordered Shell Pearl Beauty Powder and I cannot wait to get it!

I picked up shell pearl too, and the blue eyeshadow but decided against the nail varnish. I wasn't very impressed with the pink beauty powder though.
