MAC Venomous Villains – Leaked pics!

Nooberella gave me the heads up that a couple of leaked pictures giving us the first look of the Disney inspired, MAC Venomous Villains collection have surfaced online. I thought I’d do a quick post and spread the word to those who are yet to cast their eyes over them.

I have no idea who to credit for these pictures as I don’t know who originally papped them and put them on the net, but thanks if you’re reading!
I’ll be passing this collection. It’s a bit too ‘Toys R Us’ for me and it’s not as if I NEED anything from it to be honest. However, no doubt there’ll be plenty of hysteria surrounding it so I’ll more than likely pick up a couple of bits to sell to the highest bidder who’s prepared to give me their money on Ebay! Yeah, I said it – what?!!

If you want to find out the shades that will be included in this collection, Princess Livia has them listed here

Are you still looking forward to this collection, or has the packaging turned you off too?

Oh no! I was hoping they would have done a bit of an effort with the packaging… it just looks boring and cheap… And I'm mad that one of the e/s with this collection is “Carbon” I mean really!!!!
other than that I'll be eying lipsticks and blushes as usual…

eww, the packaging has completely put me off
but, when it comes out i may consider picking up a few things, the descriptions of what is being sold sound quite nice 🙂

Im definatley looking forward to the collection!
After seeing the pictures and shades, I'm going to start saving because there's a few things I would love to get my hands on <3
Do you know if the limited edition products are more expensive than the regular MAC products? And if they are, would you have any idea as how much more?

@City Girls Fashion Box – LOL!

@AbbieandBrian – Yeah it's not the best. Hopefully the actual shades will make up for it.

@LilBuity – Yeah, Carbon got a “side eye” from me too! The packaging could have been better.

@PaintAwayGirls – No, LE stuff costs the same as perm products unless in the very rare case that the packaging is really out of the ordinary i.e encased in diamantes or some crap like that.

Ewwww…this looks like a set I got for my friends 6 year old from a toy shop! Really underwhelmed to be honest. I might buy some stuff from the collection…but my choices will be driven by colours rather than packaging!

I'm not bothered about the collection at all…I don't really get the hysteria. From the pics, the packaging looks cheap and childish which isn't my bag I'm afraid. I like my makeup to look sophisticated. Mac really are hit and miss at the mo for me.

I might get one..I remember missing out on disney and I sooo regretted it!!

Goodness, I'm really surprised at the packaging. It looks so naff. I'll be passing on this too. Besides I have a hard enough keeping my littlies away from the make up anyway. With packaging like this they would think Christmas had come early!!

Its pretty kiddish…some shades may be decent enuf to buy…a blush or a lipglass….lets see..
Something is wrong wth me…even Ripe Peach and Marine life didn't get me excited..On another note MUFE new goodies are pretty exciting…

I put disney characters on make-up in the same category as snoopy pjamas. Very cute in principle but I'm 30 years old. 30 YEARS OLD!!!! This, in my opinion, is too old for this type of kitsch.

Ugh. They could have done this so much classier… maybe just black outline and not full color stickers. I'm with you. This is a disappointment.

Don't like the packaging at all, but will of course check it out because some of the lippies, blushes, and e/s's sound interesting.

  13. 19th June 2010 / 4:24 am

Omg…has to be fake right? It looks so bad!! lol

  14. 19th June 2010 / 2:21 pm

Yeah, it's like they 're targeting a whole new age group now…the 12 year olds or sth…!

    I 'll pass…!

I like the sound of a few items from the collection. None of the regular shadows, My Dark Magic MES and the Bite of an Apple blush, which i am hearing is going to be like Marine Life, but without overspray and more pigmented. I am sold on that one. Dark Deed, a burgundy plum sounds nice to me as well. Probaly a small haul for me. nothing to go crazy over.

Oh god…the packaging is so tacky and not what I imagined at all! Way too childish for me. I won't be bothering if that is the case. x

Funny how a packaging can make or break a product – if those are genuine items then I don't see it being that popular. I'd be really surprised if MAC released packaging like this – I definitely wouldn't want to be seen taking that out of my make up bag!

Hmm..it looks a bit dodgy, like LLT said, I'm not sure that even MAC would release something this tacky. I remember that Dame Edna was pretty bad but this has no salvation at all. It looks like the kind of makeup you get in those kiddies makeup sets like they used to sell in Woollies.

The packaging looks far worse than I expected it to look but I know that people will buy it anyway, just because it's MAC.
