Here we go again – now it’s Christian Dior contact lenses! *sighs*

It would appear that Christian Dior has taken a leaf out of Chanel’s book and come up with their own tacky accessory to flaunt to the fashion victims amongst us.
The next designer farce comes in the form of contact lenses with the ‘CD’ logo etched on one side with  a weird gold strip on the other – because golden eyeballs look so natural don’t they?!
You already know what my thoughts on the Chanel temporary tattoos were, and whilst I appreciate Dior’s efforts to entice me to write a blog post equally as scathing, I don’t have the energy! They’ll have to make do with this swift mocking mention instead.

I have no idea when these will be launched or how much they’ll cost, but I’d assume anybody with half a brain would steer well clear of them. Time will tell though …fashion and labels make some people lose their god-damn minds!

I have to say that I actually like the Chanel tattoos, but agree that these are pretty ridiculous. I'd find them quite offputting if I had to hold a conversation with somebody wearing them.

No way! LOL…I actually did a double take when seeing this post on my dashboard. I agree with what others have said…the color is really cool, but could definitely do without the initials-pretty tacky. I have to check your post on the tattoos thing! lol

on this photo, they look so gorgeous, definitely (again) my kind of thing. what a crying a shame about the logo: tacky as hell. they've ruined it putting the logo in it. i'd loved to see a real picture of it and i bet it wont look as nice as this

When I first saw the title of the post, I thought “ohh, what a farce”. But after seeing the contacts, I am kinda lemming towards them now. :/ xx

yeah….i can already pick out a few “types” in my head who will be lining up….certain vh1 “celebs” come to mind….tsk tsk tsk

Hahaha – I guess the golden colour is supposed to resemble that of Edward Cullen??

This is ridiculous – but you know what, the same follow-trend consumers who bought into the whole temp tattoo thing will probably jumping down the bit to get their hands on these…

  16. 25th June 2010 / 5:48 pm

Honestly I am not a big fan!

  17. 25th June 2010 / 10:24 pm

I actually quite adore the gold, but as another poster said that won't be the shade in real life. *has a flash of some doe-eyed waif with tons of black eyeshadow and mascara on sulking her way down the runways in a baby-doll shift…and her eyes look all tacky and photo-shopped*

    Pass.
