THE BODY SHOP DROPS OF YOUTH BOUNCY SLEEPING MASK

When the press release for the new Drops of Youth leave-on mask from The Body Shop landed in my inbox, I knew I had to try it.I’ve been sleep deprived for months and it now shows. This baby malarkey is NO joke. I miss my sleep man! Just the other day I caught sight of just how rough I looked and was shocked to see that I actually had circles under my eyes – I NEVER GET DARK CIRCLES!!So anyway, back onto this mask. It’s a cream-gel, which is super light on the skin when absorbed. Lightly scented, it contains cell-renewing Edelweiss stem cells. Left on to work its magic overnight, it’s supposed to replenish skin leaving it feeling:-Bouncier
-Smoother
-Refreshed
-Recharged and renewed

I applied it as instructed as the last step in my skincare routine, with the supplied spatula. Okay, I feel I should reword that…don’t do what I did and forget about the spatula and plonk your finger in the mask. It bounces back like a memory foam mattress. It’s a losing battle to try and scoop it out with a finger. USE THE SPATULA PROVIDED! It felt cooling and kinda waxy as I smoothed it into my skin. Given that my sleep is currently interrupted at least five times a night, for anything up to 45 mins a time, I didn’t hold out much hope of this making a difference after one use. When I woke up the following morning, I looked knackered – but my skin did feel smooth to the touch.

Again, on the second morning, I still physically looked rough as a dog’s bottom, but my skin did feel baby soft. I do like this mask and maybe in time when I get more sleep of a night, I may wake up looking ‘refreshed’, but until then I can deal with silky smooth skin as a benefit of the latest mask from The Body Shop!
