Whoa! It’s been ages since I posted. I momentarily forgot my Blogger.com password, it’s been that long!
How are you all? Hope life’s treating you well and you had an enjoyable festive break. Life’s been full of challenges and changes but I’ve come out the other end smiling. If you follow me on Instagram (VexintheCity), then you’ll already be aware of what’s most likely to be the biggest change to my llife as I know it.
I’m having a baby!
This is a post I’ve deliberated writing for a while. Those who know me, know that I’m quite a private person and in comparison to the average blogger, I’m wary of what I reveal about my private life through my blog. I’ve always preferred to keep the two separate.
With that said, I’m in a really good place right now, am deliriously happy and just want to share that happiness with those I know will genuinely wish me the best.
I’m super excited for what the future holds, speak to my growing bump all the time (especially since we’re now at the stage, where baby can actually hear what’s going on, in the outside world) and can’t wait to meet my little prince – yep, I’m having a boy 🙂
Vex in the City was pretty much abandoned for the vast majority of 2013. It was near on impossible to focus on my blog due to personal reasons and it fell off the radar completely.
I’m in a better frame of mind for blogging now and hope to post regularly once again. I’ll be honest though, I’m not as manic over make up as I once was, my priorities have somewhat shifted since I started writing this blog almost five years ago, but I still own a make up collection to rival most!
As well as cosmetic and skincare posts, I’ll be switching it up a bit and posting about other topics which interest me, which range from spa, restaurant and travel to cake receipes. Yes, I want to get my bake on, this year! There may be the occasional baby update post too, but I promise not to turn into a baby bore!
Do I get to bully you to blog? You need to put all that maternity leave to good makeup-playing use! Welcome back xxx

Massive congrats love I saw on Instagram but thought i'd congratulate you again!
When I fell pregnant both times my love of makeup became a little less obsessive and like you I became more focused on homely pursuits like baking and decorating but the make up obsession creeped back slowly, my kids are now 4 and 2 and I'm a full blown obsessive again lol!!
