It’s funny, but Tarte is still a brand I’m not overly familiar with, despite its UK launch last year.
Whilst having a nosey around the site, I made a mental note of the products which stood out to me the most. With autumn looming towards us, I find matte eyeshadows are a quick, easy look to wear throughout the colder months. Their subtle finish gives eyes a sophisticated look, and the 12-shadow tartelette Amazonian clay matte eyeshadow palette is perfect for creating warm and wearable eyes to pair with your favourite autumn lip colours. The palette has a mixture of browns, nudes and purples which will not only complement your new autumn/winter fashion buys but are suitable for use all year round, for all occasions.
Next to catch my attention was tarte’s Amazonian clay 12-hour blush. One of their best-selling products, these blushes are available in 14 shades, with finishes from soft to vivid, matte to shimmer, so there’s something for every skin tone and preference. Promising 12 hr coverage, its formula minimises oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place while also hydrating the skin naturally to restore moisture, reducing the appearance of dry, flaky skin.
After googling swatches I must say the shades that really perked my interest were Blushing Bride (rosy pink), Flush (pink berry) and Exposed (nude pink). I actually quite liked Tipsy (coral) too. I’m seriously considering treating myself to one of these (as if I need any more blushes, I know, I know!!).
Finally, tarte have a lovely looking line of make-up brushes for beautifying. I was quite taken by the buffer airbrush finish bamboo foundation brush. I love the strong-looking wooden handle and not only is it reportedly incredibly soft, but the bristles are made of sustainably harvested bamboo.
If, like me, you have trouble applying eyeliner in a straight line, then you’ll benefit from an angled brush such as the etch and sketch double-ended bamboo liner brush. I have a similar brush and it really makes the world of difference, allowing me to apply liquid or gel liner with a steady hand, minimising any mistakes.
Designed to complement tarte’s best-selling Amazonian clay waterproof liner, simply dip either end of the bamboo brush into your desired liner and glide it across lids to create a foolproof, bold cat eye or a soft, smoldering look with ease along the upper & lower lashline.
Are you familiar with tarte? What are your favourite products from the brand?
