My name is Yinka and I am a blush addict. I own DOZENS of them and love them all.
So unsurprisingly, when I was introduced to this beauty from newcomer Delilah Cosmetics, earlier in the year, my eyes almost popped out of my head. The colour is beautiful! An unashamedly bright, vibrant, violet-fuschia-esque pink blush named Opera.
The packaging is luxe, weighty and sleek in design and I love the added touch of a velvet pouch to store your precious blush in. A little more on the packaging, it actually puts quite a few other brands with comparable pricing to shame. The outer packaging is made from Britannia Metal, a traditional semi precious, pewter coloured metal which is durable and long lasting.
The blush blended beautifully. I was worried it would appear chalky but I need not have feared. It lifts off the pan really well and minimal effort was required to fill my brush with colour. It’s easy to build up in depth and lasted approx 8 hours, until it needed touching up. The Compact Powder Bush also comes in more two shades, Clementine (a soft looking peachy coral) and Lullaby (a soft light pink). Going off the pics online, I’d say Opera is definitely the winner for deeper skin tones.
