I love discovering new scents and whilst those created by Les Senteurs Gourmandes aren’t new to me, I am very, very pleased to have had the opportunity to try more from this lovely French fragrance brand.
Over two years ago, I heartily expressed my love for Les Senteurs Gourmandes Vanille Orientale EDP and when my bottle mysteriously disappeared, I searched high and low for a replacement, then discovered that the brand had been removed from Marks and Spencer’s. To say I was annoyed, was an understatement.
Beautifully presented in a gift box, these fragrances do not disappoint. The perfumes come in five collections; Traditional Vanilla, Childhood Memories, The Orchard, Travel Journal and Oud.

If you’re a fan of vanilla, then their Traditional Vanilla perfumes are to die for. Rich, warm, varying hues of vanilla in large EDP 100ml bottles, for approximately £17 (prices are in euros on the website). These are great value for money and I’ve been enjoying Vanille Framboise, which combines vanilla and raspberry with soft floral notes and Vanille Noire, which is sensual with a spicy twist. I want to collect them all!

I also tried a body mist, Vanille Bourbon (priced approximately £10), a intense vanilla scent and and was suitably impressed. Great to slip in my handbag when I want to freshen up and does the job with just one squirt. I also use it as a room mist, when the Febreeze is out of reach! Finallly, I opted to steer away from the Vanilla family and try a shower gel in Prune Jasmin. Prune Jasmin is a fruity, plum infused gel, which leaves a light scent on the used, after use in the shower. Although nice to use, I prefer the actual fragrances – they last far longer!
I’d thoroughly recommend you try the fragrances, they’re fantastic value for money and with Mother’s Day fast approaching would make an ideal gift.
