Mother’s Day is just a a couple of days away and for those of us fortunate enough to have our mothers in our lives, then the very least we can do show some appreciation on Sunday. After all without her, we wouldn’t be here.
Here are five ways to show your Mum how much she is loved:
1. Spending time with her. Make this day about her. Ask her what she wants to do and spend the day doing it.
2. Making an effort to stay in touch. I always make a point of answering my Mum’s calls, unless I’m really busy. And if I am busy, then I’l call her straight back or text to let her know I’m going to. We also text regularly too.

3. Show her how much you appreciate her with a gift – it’s not about the money, it’s the thought that counts. Little gifts such as flowers are always a lovely gesture, and welcome all year round. I love to get her flowers delivered – Flying Flowers are great value. Flying Flowers recently produced an infographic with some interesting results about our gift habits, when it comes to flowers. You can view it here.
4. Say “Thank you” for all the helpful advice, being a great role model, time spent with you, all the days she dropped everything to be with you when you needed her, etc. Let her know what a great impact she has made on your life.
5. Remember to show your Mum love all year long. Mother’s day is great, but don’t wait to show your love.
